By Problems with Radio Template

Hello Bill,

We corresponded about 2 years ago over your scripting templates. At the time you were working on a Word 97 version and I recently went back to your web site and found that it is still Word 95. I have been using the radio template to try my hand at a play but the scripting is far from stable. I find the Sound effects suddenly inserts large blank spaces that I seem unable to edit out. The page incrementation hangs and is stuck on 10 and I cannot get it to increment. This the first time I have used it in ernest. Is it incompatibility problems or is it curable?

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Simon

Ah, I think this might be due to the dialogue style being set to "Keep With Next" which has occurred in another template. Use Menu Format then Style, select dialogue then Modify... Format... Paragraph the "Line and
Page Breaks" then clear the tick from "Keep with Next" and then OK/Apply every box to get back to normal screen. Do the same for the style Sounds, though I don't think it is actually set in Sounds. The only styles that really NEED "keep with next" are Name and Parenthesis

This I don't understand. Can you send me a copy of the problem script. I promise not to violate your copyright. However remember that Word will not update the page numbers until it computes the actual layout for printing. This can be done by an actual printout, or maybe by a Print Preview.

Bill,

Thanks for your help. I have attached what I written so far. It is not a lot and I am not too happy with it. It is a start and I am enjoying the writing.

Simon.
